The following is a list of animal welfare organizations in Southern Arizona that were recipients of funding from H.E.A.R.T.S. during calendar year 2011. Pawsitively Cats (on December 27, 2011, Pawsitively Cats took over the management of animal care, adoptions and other functions of Casa de los Gatos). H.E.A.R.T.S. has also helped individual pet parents who were unable to pay for their animals' veterinary bills. This allowed the pets to get healthy and stay in their current homes, rather than be surrendered to an already overburdened shelter system for care. |
